Ibrahim Ogweyo was born on March 26, 2018. He joined CGA Grade One in 2026. He lives with his maternal aunt, together with his older sister who joined CGA the previous year. His mother passed away in early 2020, leaving him and his sister under the aunt’s care. They live in a spacious semi-permanent house in the rural part of Mbita bordering the lake, about a one-hour walk from CGA. The aunt is a fishmonger and supports five of her own children as well. The household has no running water or electricity, and water is fetched from the lake for cleaning and cooking. They use solar energy for lighting and firewood, propane gas, and charcoal for cooking. Ibrahim sleeps on a mat spread on the floor without a mosquito net.
