Ilmi was born in 2015. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Ilmi Badiru was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 10 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother and five other siblings. At school, Ilmi enjoys learning Afan Oromo and science, and he hopes to be an engineer when he grows up. His mom, Kimiya Hussein, came into the program at 37 years old with no educational background. She is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
