Israel was born in 2014. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Israel Kemal was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. She was 11 years old when she joined PATH, ands she lives with her mother and two siblings. At school, Israel enjoys the Afan Oromo language and science, and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up. Her mom, Abiyot Eshetu, came into the program at 38 years old with only an elementary education. She currently works as a maid washing clothes to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
