Joseph Odhiambo Oloo was born on April 27th, 2013. He is the first child in his family. He joined the CGA nursery class in January 2017. His father Bernard works at CGA as a carpenter and he also Pastors a church in the community. His mother stays at home and takes care of the family. His home is located not far from CGA. Their house is semi permanent made of iron sheet roof, mud walls and cemented floor. Joseph sleeps on his bed under a mosquito net. The compound has trees and so the house is spacious and cool even when Mbita is hot. They have a latrine and a bathroom within the compound that is shared by all family members. They have no electricity or running water. They use paraffin for lighting and firewood or charcoal for cooking. They buy water for home use and drinking from a nearby tap supplied by the government. Joseph is a little bit young for his class but we trust with the good care and attention from the CGA staff he will adjust quickly.
