Kalkidan was born in 2008. She joined the Path International Community Based Care Program in 2022.

Kalkidan Abay was in the second group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2022. She was born in 2008, and she lives with her mother and brother. Kalkidan loves playing soccer, and her favorite subject in school is Amharic. When she grows up, Kalkidan wants to be a doctor. She has been selected to attend Nafyaad Private School. In addition to educational support, Kalkidan's mother is going to receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity.
