Kalkidan was born in 2014. She joined the Path International Community Based Care Program in 2022.

Kalkidan Dechas was in the second group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2022. She was born in 2014, and she lives with her mother and two siblings. Kalkidan, or "Kali," loves playing shop and storekeeper with her friends, and she is excited to study English in school. When she grows up, Kali wants to become a business manager. Kalkidan has been selected to attend Nafyaad Private School. In addition to educational support, Kali's mother is going to receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity first selling spices and flours, and then expanding to selling eggs.
