Hamza Ziad was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 8 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother and one sibling. At school, Hamza enjoys learning Math and the Afan Oromo language, and he hopes to be a doctor when he grows up. His mom, Zeinaba Kedir, came into the program at 28 years old with only an elementary education. She currently works as a maid washing clothes to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity raising chickens for eggs and meat.
