Hayat was born in 2017. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Hayat Hussein was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. She was 8 years old when she joined PATH, and she lives with her mother and one sibling. At school, Hayat enjoys learning Math and English, and she hopes to be a pilot when she grows up. Her mom, Semira Jemal, came into the program at 30 years old with only an elementary education background. She is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
