Lami Nasru was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with his mother and two sisters. At the time, Lami was enrolled in KG 1 at Nafyaad Private School. At school, he enjoys learning English and especially likes playing soccer with his friends. When he grows up, Lami hopes to become a doctor.
Lami's mother, Wordi Abdulah, entered the program at 26 years old with an elementary education. She supports her children by washing clothes for others. The family lives in a rented government-owned mud house that is currently in poor condition. Through PATH, Wordi will receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity and strengthen the family's financial stability.
