Lina Tahir was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with her grandmother and one sister. At the time, Lina was enrolled in Grade 1 at Elemo Qultuu School. At school, she enjoys learning English and especially likes playing hide and seek with her friends. When she grows up, Lina hopes to become a government worker.
Lina's grandmother, Kokobe Legese, entered the program at 45 years old with an elementary education. She supports the household by working as a cleaner. The family lives in a rented government-owned mud house that is currently in poor condition. Through PATH, Kokobe will receive business training and seed money to begin a more sustainable income generating activity and strengthen the family's stability.
