Marilene is eleven years old. She came to live at Chanje Lakay Bellanton when she was six years old. She comes from a divorced and separated family, which made it hard for Marilene’s parents to support their children. She has two brothers and one sister who live with their mom in Croix Des Bouquets, and her dad lives in a separate area of Croix Des Bouquets. Now living at the shelter, Marilene is able to go to school to get an education, and be raised by Marjorie and Pastor Petion, the loving Pastor and wife that run the shelter.
