Milkesa Dine was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with his mother, two brothers, and one sister. At the time, Milkesa was enrolled in Grade 1 at Elemo Qultuu School. At school, he enjoys learning English and especially likes running and playing with his friends. When he grows up, Milkesa hopes to become a doctor.
Milkesa's mother, Sara Hasan, entered the program at 30 years old with no formal education. She supports her children by selling vegetables for others and engaging in small-scale vegetable production, including potatoes, onions, garlic, and tomatoes. The family lives in a government-owned house constructed of hollow block that is currently in habitable condition. Through PATH, Sara will receive business training and seed money to strengthen her production activities and improve the family's economic stability.
