Mintesinot Tesfaye was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 11, living in Chiro with his mother and three brothers. At the time, Mintesinot was enrolled in Grade 4 at Much Ahmed Muche School. At school, he enjoys learning English and especially likes playing soccer with his friends. When he grows up, Mintesinot hopes to become a doctor.
Mintesinot's mother, Worke Lema, entered the program at 35 years old. She supports the household by working as a daily laborer and taking cleaning jobs when available. The family lives in a rented government-owned mud house that is currently in poor condition. Through PATH, Worke will receive business training and seed money to begin a more sustainable income generating activity and strengthen the family's economic stability.
