Misikir was 7 when she joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2025.

Misikir Enniyew was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with her mother. At the time, Misikir was enrolled in KG 1 at Nafyaad Private School. At school, she enjoys learning Amharic and especially likes playing soccer with her friends. When she grows up, Misikir hopes to become a doctor. Misikir's mother, Addis Niguse, entered the program at 30 years old with an elementary education. She supports her daughter by washing clothes for others. The family lives in a rented government-owned mud house that is currently in poor condition. Through PATH, Addis will receive business training and seed money to begin a more sustainable income generating activity and strengthen the family's economic stability.
