Mubarak was born in 2013. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2023.

Mubarak Hajii was in the third group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2023. He was 11 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother. Mubarak enjoys studying the Afan Oromo language at school, and he hopes to become a doctor when he grows up. His mother, Zara Abrahim, came into the program at 25 years old with no education. She currently works as a house maid to support her family, and she is excited to receive business training from PATH in order to improve her business knowledge and start her own food stand.
