Musabe Mohamed was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 8, living in Chiro with his mother and two brothers. At the time, Musabe was enrolled in Grade 1 at Elemo Qultuu School. At school, he enjoys learning Afan Oromo and especially likes playing soccer with his friends. When he grows up, Musabe hopes to become a doctor.
Musabe's mother, Sumeya Mohammed, entered the program at 26 years old with an elementary education. She supports her children by working as a daily laborer and washing clothes for others. The family lives in a rented government-owned mud house that is currently in poor condition. Through PATH, Sumeya will receive business training and seed money to begin a more sustainable income generating activity and strengthen the family's economic stability.
