Maria is a helpful, peace-loving, 5th grade girl at Mweruka Junior School.  She is the class monitor and enjoys racing.  She is the sixth and last-born child in her family.  Her parents, Jimmy and Rose Mary, have no jobs but try to earn a living by growing crops on their small piece of land.  They hope for help paying school fees and school supplies.
