Opio Daniel was admitted into Otino Waa Children's Village in January 2026. Daniel is the youngest of four children and a total orphan, having lost both parents to HIV/AIDS. He comes from a child-headed household, where his 19-year-old sister struggled to care for the family without employment or stable income. He often moved from home to home in search of food and clothing from well-wishers, leaving him extremely vulnerable in his community. Given his vulnerable situation Opio Daniel was assessed for support at Otino Waa, where he could receive proper care, shelter, and access to education.
