Owino Abel was brought into Otino Waa Children's Village in January 2026. Abel is a total orphan, having lost both parents under tragic circumstances. His mother drowned while crossing a river in a small boat, and his father later passed away due to internal organ failure. Following these losses, Abel remained under the care of his elderly grandmother, who has no stable source of income and limited ability to provide for his basic needs. Given the difficult conditions at home and the absence of reliable support, Abel was identified as highly vulnerable. His admission into the residential program was therefore recommended so that he can receive proper care, protection, and access to education in a supportive environment.
