Rakeb was 7 when she joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2025.

Rakeb Endashew was in the fifth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2025 at the age of 7, living in Chiro with her mother, one brother, and two sisters. At the time, Rakeb was enrolled in Grade 2 at Elemo Qultuu School. At school, she enjoys learning Amharic and especially likes playing hide and seek with her friends. When she grows up, Rakeb hopes to become a doctor. Rakeb's mother, Elafichew Bezabeh, entered the program in 2025. Through PATH, she will receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity and work toward providing greater stability and opportunity for her children.
