Rebeka Joseph is fourteen years old. Before she moved to Chanje Lakay Bellanton at the age of ten, she lived with her parents in Croix Des Bouquets. At some point before she came to the shelter, her dad left and she and her family didn’t know where he had gone, and still don’t know where he is to this day. She has two brothers and four sisters who all still live with her mom. She initially started coming to the shelter in order to go to school, but soon after Pastor Petion realized her mother couldn’t provide for all of her kids, he offered for Rebeka to live at Chanje Lakay Bellanton. Today, she is happy and healthy and loves living at the shelter.
