Nahawi was born in 2016. He joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Nahawi Abubaker was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. He was 8 years old when he joined PATH, and he lives with his mother and one sibling. At school, Nahawi enjoys learning math, and he hopes to be a teacher when he grows up. His mom, Asanti Abrahim, came into the program at 25 years old with only a highschool education. She currently works as a maid washing clothes to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
