Rodney is a kind, active pre-school boy at Mweruka Junior School.  He enjoys football (US soccer) and fetches water at home.  His parents divorced and his mother left him with his grandmother. Rodney is growing up with his 61-year-old grandmother, Jane, and 4 other children.  Jane currently has no reliable source of income but tries to provide basic needs for them. She is not able to pay school fees for all five grandchildren or able to buy school supplies.
