Sumaya was born in 2014. She joined the PATH International Community Based Care Program in 2024.

Sumaya Aliye was in the fourth group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2024. She was 11 years old when she joined PATH, and she lives with her mother and 7 siblings. At school, Sumaya enjoys learning science and Afan Oromo, and she hopes to be a doctor when she grows up. Her mom, Zamzam Mohamed, came into the program at 47 years old with no educational background. She currently works as a maid by washing clothes to bring in an income for her family, and she is hopeful to receive business training from PATH in order to begin her own income generating activity.
