Yonas was born in 2011. He joined the Path International Community Based Care Program in 2022.

Yonas Zegye was in the second group of Community Based Care (CBC) students in Ethiopia, joining PATH in 2022. He was born in 2011, and he lives with his mother and three siblings. Yonas loves studying martial arts, and he is excited to be attending a better school. Yonas has been selected to attend Nafyaad Private School. In addition to educational support, Yonas's mother is going to receive business training and seed money to begin her own income generating activity first baking and selling traditional bread, then expanding her business to brewing and selling coffee.
