Tomorrow is our first home visit for our home study. Seems a little surreal that "THIS" is actually happening...we've wanted to adopt for so long and now to actually be working towards it happening- it's exciting!
I went and got my finger prints done today- boy, that was interesting!!! I actually had to go to the jail, be buzzed in through locked doors and taken past inmates in the hall to booking to get them done. There had also been an incident earlier that morning and I knew one of the cell blocks was on lockdown. I have to admit it made me a tad nervous- I was thankful that His angels encamp around me and I prayed that the sheriff I was with was good at his job. I'm very thankful to have those done and without any incident other, than a whistle as I walked around a corner.  
So other than having our home study in the works, we are just working on raising the funds for our next thing- the first agency payment of $3150 and a $580 fee to "lock" Run Lin in for our family...I though we had a few hundred towards this already, but turns out fingerprints, FBI and state police clearances are not free! Never knew it would cost so much to prove we have no criminal records. So we are still at the start of our agency fee. I am so very much hoping that we can pay for those two things at the end of hosting. I know our heart will be breaking to send our little guy back and being able to bring him home as soon as possible will be necessary!
