In this last year it has been on my heart to start using my skills to help others in need. In September I was presented with the opportunity to go to Uganda November 4-18 with a small group of women. Over the course of this trip we will be working with the women of Bethany Village who run an orphanage. We will be teaching them new entrepreneurship skills that will help with the economical development of their individual house. Skills will be taught so the women can bring products to the marketplace and provide for the kids in their home. We will also be there to provide encouragement to their well-being through exercise, nutritional guidance, and hygienic practices that will benefit the overall orphanage.
Skills taught will include jewelry making, gardening, sewing, fish farming, and embroidery. We will be cooking meals with the women everyday and exchanging stories from their incredible lives. We will also be purchasing four sewing machines upon arriving in Uganda, as well as bringing over supplies from the States.
Thank you for your support. Prayers for wisdom and safety are much appreciated. Any money donated for this trip will go directly to cover the cost of airfare, food, supplies, lodging, and insurance. Thank you for helping to send me as the hands and feet to help the women of Bethany Village!
