For the next 40 days leading up to my 40th birthday, I am going BIG! 

As the co-founder of Flourish Kenya, of course, I am always championing its cause. But, this year, for my 40th birthday, promoting Flourish has even more meaning. You see, forty has always been a significant number for Flourish. There are typically 40 weeks in pregnancy; we are tackling the teen pregnancy epidemic. 40% is the number of girls aged 10-19 that become pregnant in the Kenya county in which Flourish works. $40,000 is the amount of money we need to purchase land to build a safe house that will help young girls in crisis. 

This birthday holds even more importance to me, because not only am I turning 40, but it is the 10th anniversary of my walk with Jesus and baptism! The Lord has also spoken special promises over my family and me and the ending of generations walking in the desert and entering the Promised Land.
