Laundry Love of Fall River, MA

This is the official fundraising page for the Laundry Love location in Fall River, Massachusetts. As of April 2023, we host a Laundry Love event once a month at Kam's Laundromat in Fall River to help those in need to wash their clothes.  As we are a brand new Laundry Love, we realized one of the major roadblocks would be funding, as most grants cannot be distributed to individuals and/or volunteer groups without a 501(c)(3) status. We are asking you to find it in your heart to donate to this cause to help start up a new Laundry Love location in an area where it is so desperately needed. There are less than 10 Laundry Love locations in the state of Massachusetts, with each of them being spread far apart from each other, and none within a close distance of Fall River, MA.

Who we are

My name is John Milkey, and as of right now, I am the sole contact for Laundry Love of Fall River. After visiting a Laundry Love (now closed) in New Bedford and utilizing its services back in 2018, I realized that it is a beautiful organization with plenty of potential and need to grow. After finding out that it had closed back in 2020, it's been my mission to start one back up in the close city of Fall River, with my goal to eventually start it back up in New Bedford as well.

What your donation(s) will cover:

• Monthly costs of washers (~$250/month for 30 washers)
• Extra laundry supplies (fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc.)
• Travel expenses for our guests (~$40-$100/month for bus passes, Uber rides)
• Cost of new or gently used clothing for guests in need of clothes (cost TBD)
• ...and more! We have lots of ideas to help out those in need in this community.
