About 10 years ago a group from Trinity Episcopal Church was presented with the Laundry Love Program. We tossed it around and decided to give it a try. It just made sense to do. We gathered $250.00 and some detergent and set out to figure out what to do. We served only a handful in the first couple months. We now serve over 130 people a month washing 3 to 4 tons of laundry every month. We have been very blessed with donations from the community. We now spend $2000.00 a month. Local churches, businesses and individuals make donations of both funds and supplies. To date we havent had to purchase any supplies. Our supporters keep us well supplied. We also provide socks and toiletries at our events. Those items also are all donated. We partner with local social service agencies to ensure we are reaching folks in need. We recently partnered with Senior Resources to reach our Senior citizens. We just kicked that off and it has been well recieved.
