What's the deal?

We have felt called to adoption since before we were married, and we are thrilled to take the steps toward bringing a little one into our lives.

We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and since many of you have asked how you can help, we've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to help us bring home the next member of our family. We're not solely dependent on this fundraiser. We're saving like crazy, applying for grants and working a couple freelance hustles. 

Our total costs are going to be somewhere between $25-40K (gulp). Yep, that's a lot of money. That's why we're opening this up to anyone and everyone who would want to participate in our journey to bring a baby home!

Where are you adopting from?

We're adopting domestically, so our little buddy will be born somewhere in the USA

Why are you adopting?

We have always known we would expand our family through adoption. We believe that God calls us to care for orphans, and this has always been Plan "A" for us.

Why does it cost so much?

You're telling us! The costs we know we'll encounter with adoption include our home study, agency fees, and finalization costs. The actual cost we're likely to pay is probably going to be somewhere between $30-40K. We are committed to adopting without going into debt, and are grateful for any funding we receive. 

I can't give any money...what else can I do?

I'm so glad you asked! We would love your prayers, phone calls/texts to check in on us during what we anticipate will be a crazy ride, and of course...your wise parenting advice.

What will my money be used for?

There's quite a few costs associated with adoption. We already funded our home study. However, there's quite a list of other things to fund: legal fees, social services, finalization costs. The great thing about Pure Charity is that the money you donate goes directly to the placement agency we work with - so everything you donate goes straight to bringing home a baby!
