As we've progressed in this process, we've gotten a more realistic idea of the costs of adoption. In addition to adoption agency fees, there are also the costs of travel and several weeks of lodging when we go to pick up our baby, as well as hospital costs. We are officially on the waiting list with the adoption consultant, and hoping to be matched with an expectant mother soon! We could wait weeks or months, but we're trusting in God's timing for bringing the exact right child into our family and His perfect time.

WOW! We've reached our fundraising goal! We've also completed our paperwork and are waiting for it to be approved.  We hope to move on to the next phase (getting on a waiting list) by the end of May. Thanks for your part in getting us this far.

We've started the "Home Study" which is the name for the paperwork process. We're hoping to have this process complete and be approved adoptive parents by May 20201. The next step after that is to go on a waiting list with an agency to be matched with an expectant mom!
