We just reached the halfway point to my goal of $500! Even if I don't reach $500, I'm super happy about that! This will help me in a huge way when I run on Saturday. My training has been going well, and now that the weather has gotten much cooler, I feel like I can go forever, but if I hit a hard spot during the race, having this goal/support in the back of my mind will help me get the rest of ...

So I'm starting to get used to running, but I'm not someone who loves it just yet. I just don't hate it anymore! Win! I'm starting to handle 4 miles pretty well at a 12/min mile pace, but I'm scheduled to run 5 miles at a faster pace this Sunday. It's supposed to be a furnace here this weekend so I'll be doing a short run on Saturday morning and just playing Sunday by ear. I may have to run it ...

Week 2 - I'm working my way up to 5 miles at this point. I can run 4 miles, but it's a stretch! I'm using RunKeeper to train. The program essentially is training me to do a sub-65 minute 10K, but I'll be happy just to run the whole thing without walking. I'm scheduled to run 4 miles tomorrow, 2 Saturday, and 5 on Sunday! I ran 3 yesterday with intervals at the end.
