We had our final home study visit last week, and it went well! Rhonda, our social worker, asked questions about our neighborhood, our building, and where things were located in our house. It was probably the easiest of our three interviews, and we were glad to have it done!
Now, we're waiting on Rhonda to write up her report about us - that's the completed home study. Once we have that, we can start applying for grants, etc.
We also went to an informational meeting about an agency here in the Bay Area, Adoption Connection. At this point, we're trying to make decisions about who to work with. I was telling Robert that it's hard for me to feel like any of these agencies is the perfect choice - there's plusses and minuses to each of them - and Faithful Adoption Consultants seemed so wonderful, that it's hard to imagine that we'd like another partner as much.
We'd appreciate your prayers over the next few weeks as I start to compile the information we'll need for grants - and as we decide which agency to work with.
