We've been radio silent for a while - thanks to the crazy mess of paperwork that comes from trying to get our home study in the mail and reviewed by our agency. Seriously...it took over two months, which was pretty frustrating, but at least now it's mostly settled. Our next task is taking on the creation of our profile and video. Luckily, I love InDesign, and that will be my project for the next month or so.

We're starting to hear back from the grant organizations we applied to, and will share an update when all of their decisions have been made. We still have a long ways to go, but we've passed the halfway point of costs - I'm thinking I might need to make a little thermometer that measures our progress and stick it on the fridge. 

It's easy to get discouraged that this is taking longer than we expected, but looking at how far we've been able to come since last summer puts things in perspective - and we're grateful!
