Well...after a VERY long wait we finally got the signature we had been waiting for!!!!Which means we finally have our official referral. After knowing our sweet girl for over a year...and 9 months into our adoption process...she is one step closer to having our last name!!All of this news came with a couple bummers.First, when looking over the referral documents we noticed that "C"s birth date w...

As we head into May we find we have accomplished a lot, but we still feel V E R Y far from the finish line.We [and when I say we I mean Shannon] have finally compiled all the necessary documents to complete our dossier. So...we are still waiting for our home study to be approved by our agency. They go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure all the needed information is in there. All the i's are dotted and t's are crossed...and then when it is perfect...they will sign it andput it in our hands. Just wanted to update...although there is not much to update. We had our first homestudy visit and will have our homestudydone on January 3! We want to thank everyone who has already chosen to be a part of our daughters story!"C" had surgery to repair her Spina Bifida lesion on November 12th. Her surgery lasted about 4 hours and was a huge success! She was up and moving around within 2 days...she clearly did not get the "you just had a complex spine surgery"memo. She remains at the FOCOS hospital, and we can't wait for her to be wel...
